Being a character actor (and a pretty well-known one), I'd imagine so. :beaten:

This pic totally makes me think that "Nodame" would be a very close match to "Osaka" (whose actual name is Kasuga (which I think is such a cute name)) if they did a live action version of Azumanga Daioh (and the girls were like 6 years older than they are).
There's one scene at the beginning of the show where Osaka is explaining how going forwards she's going to be focused in school and she does a hand motion very similar to this. It's really adorable.

I toally agree! Juri would be PERFECT as an older ditzy Osaka! :dancing:
Oh, I've finished Nodame. :woot: Ah, I think this last epsiode was my favourite of all. Really wonderful, full of touching and funny scenes.

The scene when Chiaki is looking for Nodame, and sees her from his taxi, then gets out, but Nodame hasn't seen him and carries on talking to him on her mobile. Then Chiaki then grabs her in a hug, whilst both are still holding their mobiles - ahhhhhhh, what a romantic scene, and so memorable!Keps wrote:

I can still remember that part where Chiaki sensed Nodame's father was going to talk to him... 'Please don't say "take good care of my daughter".

Hmm, being an anime person, I woulda thought you'd be familiar with that term....
From Wiki:
-------------
Glomp \ A hug in the manner of a small child, similar to a bearhug but often including one or both legs as well as arms. Also a hug in which the hugger jumps and catches the victim by surprise or off-guard. Basically, it's a violent hug with a running start.

Haha.. no, I never really embraced anime culture to that degree. I've only seen a little, really. I had a good friend who was an anime expert - I'm sure he'd know it (he actually owns like 100+ full series on DVD), whereas now I've seen more Jdrama than anime :)

Truth to tell, I didn't know the meaning of the word either... That's why Wiki is such an indispensable tool for me. :victory:

I would like Nodame's family to have been in the series more. I thought her mum and dad were marvellous comic characters!bmwracer wrote:Now it's time to watch the SP. Thumbsup
I know. Gotta download if from somewhere. It shouldn't be bad to watch just the special on my laptop. Can anyone tell me how long the SP is please?
The best glomp in all of J-drama. :victory:
Well, it's the best one so far for me. :D
I was like hugging myself inside with glee at that scene.
Re: "glomp" - I only got the idea of what that meant from this very message board. :glomp: <- Just because this smiley is called it.

While a laptop may be "just fine", I think the official "Nodame Elite Club" method is to rent out a movie theatre and a host of Japanese Nodame Cosplayers.
