1. Night Kawaii! [Rating: 8/10]
This was a great drama. It was light, silly, fun, and an enjoyment to watch.

The storyline was hugely flawed and totally unbelievable, but because the characters were so much fun, and because Ifm sure the writers never once wanted to convince us that this was supposed to be a serious, realistic drama, the flaws are totally forgivable.

Near the end of the drama you do start to unearth more philosophical issues, and question what love is and what it means to be ghumanh. The end was touching and sad, and if I hadnft been watching it with my sis (who cried), I would have cried as well.

I was pleasantly surprised by Aibu Saki. I think Ifve only seen her in Attention Please, where shefs not the lead. She did a great job. Hayami also rocked. If I hadnft seen him already in other dramas, I would have been less impressed. I mean, itfs not hard for teen heart-throbs to act roboticc but he really WAS acting and he did a great drop as the ideal boyfriend.

I would definitely recommend this drama to anyone looking for something light and fluffy to watch as a break from all the other hardcore dramas that are out there. :)

2. An overall decent show [Rating: 7/10]
This is the first time I've seen Saki Aibu in a lead role and I was generally charmed by her. Yes her performance was occasionally a bit over the top but someone who buys a love robot would have to be a little wacky. In fact her performance was about the only thing that kept me with the drama for the first five episodes. The problem I had was that the robot character was annoying me no end initially but by the end of the fifth episode a change occurred and he became much more tolerable.
I have to say that I could never believe the Riiko/Night relationship and so wasn't as touched by it as others here apparently have been. Is it really love if not loving her is impossible? I thought the ending was pretty much the way it should have been. In any case I still enjoyed the show and encourage anyone who finds the premise interesting to give it a view.

3. Worth watching, but keep in mind.. [Rating: 10/10]
At first I was not sure about this drama. A robot? That is mainly what I couldn't get over. However, I decided to watch it, but I always kept in mind that I was in for a comedy.. I was expecting nothing but silly acting. But I have to admit that after watching the first episode, i was hooked! It was funny, and Night was very interesting to look at (the actor did a good job as a robot).

The strange thing is that, I actually found myself caring and feeling for the robot. What can I say, he won me over! He was always trying to be the perfect boyfriend, and he tried very hard.

The drama is very funny. The ending sad, but probably the best way to go. I recommend you watch it, but please, keep in mind that it is fictional, and it will contain corny, silly humor. It's a story about a robot boyfriend, you should now that!

4. Okaeri, Sweet Heart... Ai wo Arigato! [Rating: 9/10]
This was a cute and fun series. I wasnft expecting anything from it so thatfs why I really enjoyed watching it. The three leads really did a good job plus additional laughs from the supporting casts. I was really convince by Mokomichifs performance as a robot and he really did prepare for his role. Aibu Saki went passed my expectation since she was always a supporting cast and this was really her very first lead in a full length drama series. While Hiro was the same old Nanba-senpai and I like him for that. As for the ending, I already know it would turn out that way but still, seeing it really makes me sad. And I must say that the BGM's here really fit the different moods in the series plus the ending theme, it was really nice to hear "Okaeri..." at the end of each episodes.

5. Drama is good, but the message is what makes it [Rating: 9/10]
As others have said, this is a fun, light hearted drama. The acting isn't perfect, and it's a little unrealistic (although to quote my sister, "duh it's going to be unrealistic, he's a love robot, what do you expect?"), but overall very enjoyable.

However, why I really enjoyed this drama was because of the deeper message lying under the surface. This message is portrayed fantastically when Fujiko-san said, "love takes many forms in this world." Love is never black and white, love does not take on the most practical or logical path, and love is messy. In the end, love chooses the person that lights up our world when we come home and are greeted with "h.

6. absolute watch [Rating: 10/10]
I think this is one of my fave dramas. I found it so warm and loving. During the last few episodes, I couldn't stop watching and stayed up until the wee hours in the morning to finish the series and cried my eyes out. It's a definite must watch for any romantic out there. There is also a movie after the series, but I didn't enjoy it much, frankly. It felt like starting at point A and then 2 hours later, coming back to point A. THe movie did not contribute to much progress of the story, I found that it was a mere attempt to bring you the same emotional turmoil from the series, but didn't quite get to me. But the drama is definately worth it.

7. One of the best doramas this year!! [Rating: 10/10]
I finished the series yesterday, this is one of those doramas that you start watching and you dont even notice that you're already watching the last episode, every episode makes u want to watch the next one, it's addictive xD
The story is something I've never seen in a dorama before, a robot love story, and the actors really put on a great effort, Night performance is excellent.
It has the perfect balance between romance, comedy, cuteness and suspense, it has even action! and I cried so much in the ending, it really reaches your heart. Totally recommended !!!! And the ending song is perfect! it has the feeling of the whole series

8. Loved this series! [Rating: 9/10]
It has a good mix of humor and drama. You immediately fall in love with Soshi and Night. I have to say I had some issues with Riko. She was just so heartless to Night through the first half of the series. I understand she feels he's like a talking washing machine, but the lengths he goes for her (programming or not) still deserves some pleasantness. But I guess without this detachment in the early start of their 'relationship' you wouldn't see how she develops into the person she is at the end of the series. (Still it bothers me.)

But it's a really fantastic series, I cried A LOT at the end...I can't wait for the special.

9. Good show [Rating: 8/10]
To be honest, I wasn't hooked after watching the first episode because I felt that the pace was rather slow. But after watching 3-4 episodes, my interest in the drama increased and I was hooked! I cried during the last episode. I guess it appeals to the romantic in me. Riiko is really lucky to have met someone who can love her unconditionally. However, at the same time it's sad falling in love with someone like that because Night cannot build a family and grow old with her... The part where Night shed tears (during the SP) really broke my heart. On a side note, Hayami Mokomochi is SO hot! Woots.

10. Fantastic! [Rating: 9/10]
Beyond the eye candy, this drama really has the power to convey love. The drama really made me ponder about love and what I look for in my soulmate.
Aibu Saki was really convincing as the righteous Riiko. Hayami Mokomichi was absolutely incredible as Night. He was really convincing as a robot.
I felt the ending was a bit rushed. It would have been nice to have more of a reciprocal relationship between Night and Riko. Right when Riko accepts Night as her Zettai Kareshi, he leaves.
The romantic in me also hoped that they would have lived happily ever after together, but it makes sense.

I wasn't that interested at first but after the first few episodes Tenjo Night really grew on me (I REEALLY loved Hayami Mokomichi's portrayal of a robot~!!) it was certainly laugh out loud funny in parts but Aibu Saki kinda annoyed me.. maybe it's her acting style but I couldn't take her srsly most of the time (even when it called for it) bcoz she always looked like she was on the verge of laughing?? But fortunately she pulled it together in the last episode.. All in all it was a good watch!

Even though it's quite far from it's original manga storyline, but
this drama still has the original sense and feeling of the actual plotline.
The sadness, happiness and also silliness can be seen and felt throughout the movie.
But, there are some parts that can be emphasized more and the potrayal by the actors are quite ordinary.
Overall, quite enjoyable, if you're just looking for a romentic comedy, this drama can be a choice for you =p

I really don't get the hype about this drama. Not only is it completely unrealistic, but I didn't really feel sympathy toward any of the characters. Riko is a shallow, 1-dimensional character, and the idea of falling in love with a robot because he is helplessly devoted to her is fairly creepy. I know I watched at least half of it, but it was so slow and the characters were so frustrating that I don't think I managed to finish it.

The storyline somehow does not seem to be convincing, but in literary its is more importent HOW something is told rather than WHAT is told....
Zettai Kereshi told the story very well, one starts to think about what love means and what being a human means and that makes this dorama very special.
A non-human figure can touch you as a human. Great!
I can really recomment it!
Ans it even reached my sense of humour!^^

15. Almost perfect [Rating: 9/10]
Zettai Kareshi has a silly concept, but runs with it to make an engaging and frequently funny drama. When lonely Aibu Saki contracts for a "love robot," the complications include bonding issues, amorous competition, and the expected repairs. Saki is sweet and understated, and somehow believable as the girl with boy problems and android issues.

Mizushima Hiro is absolutely, as always, gorgeous in this drama. I enjoyed the plot, and the storyline -thinking it would be something unique and different, and well thought out.

However, the ending is what turned me off of this drama completely. I was absolutely ticked off and lost the majority of the respect I had for it.

Very funny drama with excellent performances from Aibu Saki and Sasaki Kuranosuke . Although this drama is about a robot Moko fills the role with hilarity and a bit of Pathos. Maya Miki and Mizushima Hiro also provide good performances. The main problem with this is once you've seen the first episode you know how it's going to end.

That someone would, willingly, let someone they apparently loved kill themselves in a desperate act of absolute adoration is a terrible thought and a tear-spilling, heart-wrenching conclusion.

Omg, I (like) KNEW after the first episode that this would be a top-drama! So so excellent! Actually, I don't remember the last time watching a series and wishing that if only it would have been like 10 episodes more. The episodes flew by and then I realized this was the last episode... "SO SOON?!"

Everything is gold in this series! I'm SO surprised by Hayami's acting as the robot, it was toally convincing and I was 100% satisfied. It should be really difficult to act as a robot but he totally blew me away. He was extremely good, it was realistic and nothing was awkward at all. His moves were perfect, ... can't find fitting words to describe!

I'm writing this just seconds after finishing watching the series and I'm happy because it's amazingly beautiful. It's sweet and sad. Geez, just WATCH it. :D

The OST was a great choice too, it was fitting. Ah, I haven't read the manga but after watching this wonderful series, I have to read the manga!

One of my top-rated j-series ever so far! Surprised to the max by the excellentness...

You probably won't find a more RECOMMENDED series than this. XD

I loved the manga so I'm watching the live action series. Hiro Mizushima is keeping this series alive and kicking, he is awesome as my favorite Soushi Asamoto.omg I can't believe I'm crying over the ending of this robot love story. I loved the manga with its high school setting and was head over heels in love with Soshi Asamoto. Hiro Mizushima was perfect as Soshi, I love this man. Mokomichi was the ideal robot boyfriend, lucky Riiko. I loved the adaptation of the series and its more realistic corporate setting. The ending isn't too far from the manga's. I love how the story developed even if its not true to the original manga. Thanks to the sub group and the upload. I loved it. And it gets a 9 because of Hiro!!!!

I've read the manga, and the drama is set in different setting although the main storyline about a girl purchasing a lover robot is the same. I must say that whilst reading the manga, Night's movement and speech did not come across as mechanically as it does in the drama. The series starts out a bit annoyingly, as Night tries to win over Riiko's love. But the series gets better as it goes, and it's worthwhile waiting for the last few episodes.

However, as the drama progressed and Night's new found emotions emerged..Mokomichi's acting did become less robotic and more man-like. Of course, Mizushima Hiro's acting as Asamoto Soshi is so-so but I guess his looks makes up for it.

Wonderfull drama, Aibu saki, Mokomichi and Hiro Did really well to make this drama interesting to watch. The Idea was unique, to make a perfect robot boyfriend which never betrayed their mate. Sometimes i got annoyed when see mokonichi naked, but when i see riko smile, it makes me come to life..hahahaa. The special was good, i almost angry because Naito come back and disturbed riko, but i realize that's just his love, he really want to become a human, He just want to love riko normally like other human, it really makes me want to cry(But i'm not, maybe girl audience will cry when they watch this). Highly recomended.
Theme song: Okaeri [Ayaka]: 10 (what a wonderfull song)

Plot was not very original and I didn't like some of the final twists (they changed opinion too quick for my taste), but it made me laugh a few times and, surprisingly, it also made me cry a lot at the end (it is really tragic, I must say). I loved the main cast, all of them acted really well. Hayami Mokomichi was great as a robot that subtly changes to a more human being. Sasaki Kuranosuke was great too, and it was really good to see Maya Miki too. Anyway this is not a dorama I would watch twice, although it makes some good questions about the ideal boy/girlfriend and our need to be loved by someone. I don't know why but I find the whole dorama a bit disturbing too :S

Zettai Kareshi is the best robot-and-human-love drama I've seen. It has both very funny parts and touching parts. At first, I fully supported Soshi (played by Hiro), but as the story went on, I started to have feeling for Night, the robot (played by Mokomichi). And at the end, I cried a lot for him... Mokomichi did such an amazing job. (not yet to mention how hot he is!!)

Regards to the special episode that continues 3 years after the original ending, my suggestion is better to skip it. The original ending was at its best. The SP has ruined it totally. I shouldn't have watched it. T__T

This drama was surprisingly quite good! I absolutely loathed the manga, but the drama is so different from the manga it is essentially a different story, so it seems a flower bloomed from the shit. This show was laugh-out-loud funny every episode, and actually had some decent depth to the story and characters (esp. compared to the original manga). The special was also pretty good although not really needed because the series was already satisfactory in and of itself. Oh and also Hayami Mokomichi did a great job acting, I totally bought him as a robot!!

What a surprise. I had absolutely no expectations from this dorama. The silly plot, the unproven actors, all predicted another shallow idol-based dorama. But it turned out to be a nice, light-hearted, not-as-silly-as-expected, enojyable comedy. The main actors were good (Aibu Saki particularly), and as often in this sort of dorama, the supporting roles and actors made the difference.
I recommend it if you're looking for something nice and easy.

I was suprised at how much I ended up actually liking this show, the relationship between Night and Riiko was well done and their scenes were what I looked forward to every ep. To me Aibu Saki was the real star of this show, she reminded me a little of Yuko Takeuchi with the 'smile that lights up a room' and brought genuine emotion into moments that could have been a lot cheesier. Good drama overall if your looking for some light entertainment.

I guess there's no such thing as a zettai kareshi/absoulute boyfriend. Night is sweet but it is just too much to handle sometimes. Riiko's character is confusing and frustrating to watch - she doesn't know what she really wants or how she really feels. For once Mocomichi's acting is pretty good, I guess because his robotic acting skills are perfect for this role XD Overall this is a above average sweet romcom if you don't expect too much.

Mhh, it took me a long time to get into this.. From episode 6 and up I enjoyed it, but I wasn't so fond of the first half of the dorama.

And I didn't like the actor who played Night. He became anoying at times, but for some reason I kept cheering for him and Riiko to be together.

Aibu Saki was great in this dorama!
The same goes for Mizushima Hiro and Sasaki Kuranosuke.

The worst manga to drama adaptation I've ever seen. The main heroine Riko keeps changing her mind from Soushi to Night every other episode and it pisses me off. She's also bratty and immature for someone in her mid 20s. If they were going to have such an immature character they might as well have left the original high school setting. Just read the manga, this drama is awful.

Although slightly unrealistic and a bit annoying at the beginning, this drama ENDED fantastically. At the beginning the female (aibu saki) was teeth grindingly annoying. And the robot (having a mind blank here on his name...) was too unhuman to have sympathy for, but i cried in the end, I can't believe I did but I was that touched. Really cute drama I really enjoyed it!

I couldn't shake the fact that the whole plot was terribly cheesy; but it's meant to be a story about a girl who falls in love with a robot. After some suspension of belief, I was able to start enjoying to story, and even some of Hayami's portrayal of the android boyfriend. I have to agree with the others that felt the ending seemed rushed, but I liked it end the end.

So much better than I expected. The story of a girl with the robot boyfriend sounds so lame, but this story was really fun. Hayami Mokomichi is so robot-like, it's awkward! I felt embarrassed for him so many times! What surprised me the most was that this drama almost made me cry at times, especially during the special. It also made me crave cream puffs like crazy.

Want to see how this live-action will turn out to be. EDIT: This was a cute and fun series. I wasnft expecting anything from it so thatfs why I really enjoyed watching it. The three leads really did a good job plus additional laughs from the supporting casts. As for the ending, I already know it would turn out that way but still, seeing it really makes me sad.

i thought that this drama was really one of the most touchin ones i have ever seen. knight really was the type of boyfriend that all of us guiys should be. mokomichi did a great job in this role. saki was also relli good and the rest of the cast as well. this drama can make you laugh, cry, and sad at times but it is definitely worth watchin =]

Great drama. I'm kind of glad they changed some of it up from the manga (a high schooler getting something like that is just too freaky). Mokomichi did a good job of being a robot and it was nice seeing him progressing throughout the drama. Even though I knew what was gonna happen at the end I still cried like a baby =/

i think the cast is a little weak. aibu saki (riiko) seems like a weak, wannabe nodame (ueno juri in nodame cantible), and the guy who plays Night just seems awkward. Mizushima Hiro is just AMAZING though (as expected after his outstanding performance in hama kimi)!!
the last episode was also a little disappointing...

When I first started watching I was totally rooting for what's-his-name-Hiro's character. But as the series went on... I totally fell in love with the robot. I really wish they had ended up being together forever. Stupid robot death. LoL. Anyway, the acting is horrendous and the story is maybe a little better than so-so.

Silly drama, but it had a lot of heart. With the exception of the cream puff storyline, I thought it was great. Ending was sad, but I loved this drama. This drama is more like an 8.5, but because some episodes dragged (*cough* cream puffs *cough*), I changed my rating to an 8 instead of a 9 like I originally gave it.

I enjoyed the manga, so I'm probably biased. I had fun watching this show. I liked how the setting was a bit different from the manga and the characters were older rather than high school students. Hayami Mokomichi did a great job being the sexy, robotic boyfriend and I liked the rest of the cast as well.

Not as good as I hoped, bad ending...
When i read it was about a robot I imagined this whole thing when you want the human to be with the robot, but it doesnt work if mizushima hiro is another human falling in love! It's just to sad!

Although if you want comedy i laughed a lot during this!

Love this drama...it's so touching and rikko Night pair is so cute...I feel sorry for night in the first few episode cos it looks like he wasn't appreciated but I think I understand rikko why she's cold to night cos I think she was just avoiding to have an emotional attachment to night.. I also thinks that she really likes night in those first episodes but still confuse...

anyways...love this drama...

This drama deserves to be looked at on it's own--separate from the manga. Although at times Riiko was frustrating, she was WAY less frustrating than most of what I've seen...Hana yori Dango's Tsukushi...*cough* It really was a beautiful, touching story that reaches deeper into the mysteries of love than your typical romance drama.

The changes they made from the manga was for the better. Riiko disappointed me throughout the 80% of the series for not treating Night well, but everything wrapped up towards the end. A very heart-warming, romantic drama.

A very nice drama... I laugh.. smile.. cry... watching this. It just so sad that Night-to is a robot. I really want him and Riko to be together... Nevertheless, its still a great drama! i recommend to this to everyone..
