Amami Yuki [天海祐希]
She is an amazing actress. She can be serious (watch Jyoou no Kyoushitsu) and she can be hilariously funny (watch Top Caster and Rikon Bengoshi 2).
Eita [瑛太]
He is terrific in Unfair.
Kato Masaya [加藤雅也]
I once mistakenly took him for just another pretty face. But after watching Anego and Unfair, I have since corrected my misconception.
Shinohara Ryoko [篠原涼子]
From Mukodono to Unfair, she is one versatile actress. I can't wait for her next drama.
Tamaki Hiroshi [玉木宏]
Another of my Top Caster favorite.
Tanihara Shosuke [谷原章介]
He has me ROFL laughing in Top Caster.
Ueno Juri [上野樹里]
Serious or funny, she is the girl for me.
Yamashita Tomohisa [山下智久]
YamaP's acting has improved by leaps and bounds. He captured my attention in NwoP as Akira. But, Akira is very much like himself, so not much of an acting stretch for him there. In Kurosagi, you can definitely see his improvements. His acting was so bland for the first 5 episodes that it was bordering on bad. Then, in episode 7 he completely blew me away. I just couldn't take my eyes off him (and Horikita). Now, he has captured my full attention.

Anego [アネゴ]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
The side dialogs had me ROF LOL.
Busu no Hitomi Koishiteru [ブスの瞳恋してる]
Rating: 5/10 (Watched)
I cringed everytime I was reminded that Kato's character, too, liked the ugly girl (and she is really a busu. not a okay looking girl playing an ugly girl. but an ugly girl playing an ugly girl.)
Densha Otoko [電車男]
Rating: 3/10 (Watched)
Sorry, I just can't relate. I keep wanting to smack the guy.
Dragon Zakura [ドラゴン桜]
Rating: 5/10 (Watched)
It's educational. Period. I endured the whole drama just for Yamashita Tomohisa.
Fugoh Keiji [富豪刑事]
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Not plausible, but entertaining.
Garasu no kamen 1 [ガラスの仮面]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Gift [ギフト]
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Nothing beats a naked, bloody man falling out of your closet.
Gokusen 2 [ごくせん2]
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
The only reason I watched it is because it has **tons** of mouth watering bishounen.
Hana Yori Dango [花より男子]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Hanayome wa Yakudoshi! [花嫁は厄年ッ!]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
It's beginning was promising, but it's ending was dragging.
Haru to Natsu/Haru e Natsu [ハルとナツ]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
A touching family drama of two sisters trying to reconnect after 70+ years of separation. What is harder to bear: To leave behind the ones you love or to be left left behind by the ones you love?
Heisei meoto jawan ~ dokechi no hanamichi
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
There is a reason DIY is so popular @
Hero
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
I always enjoy a good laugh, and even better, with some justice throw in.
Hoshi no kinka 1 [星の金貨]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Noriko convincingly protrayed a deaf person who fought against adversities.
Hoshi no kinka 2 / Zoku hoshi no kinka [續。星の金貨]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Houkago [下課後]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
The gir/boy transition period was so funny. The boob grabbing (boy->girl)and morning effect (girl->boy) reaction was priceless.
Ichi Ritoru no Namida [1リットルの涙]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
The family factor is definitely a major tear-jerker.
Ienaki ko 1 [家なき子]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
I cried my eyes out.
Jikou Keisatsu [時効警察]
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Some episodes are more interesting than others.
Jyoou no Kyoushitsu [女王の教室]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
It was all about tough love. I felt so happy that the student finally realized that they are better people because of the teacher.
Kimi wa Petto [きみはペット]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
I was distracted by Matsumoto's HUGE mouth when I saw him for the first time. Now that I come to know him and am less distracted by his huge mouth, I think the drama is a pretty decent watch.
Kindaichi shonen no Jikenbo (2005) [金田一少年の事件簿]
Rating: 4/10 (Watched)
I'm tempted to give it a 1/10. But then I thought it's Kindaichi, I can't blame Kame for his melodramatic acting.
Kindaichi shonen no jikenbo 1 [金田一少年の事件簿 1]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Dohmoto Tsuyoshi makes Kindaichi look good!
Koori no sekai [冰の世界]
Rating: 5/10 (Watched)
If it wasn't for the intriguing narrative I would've given up on it long before it ended.
Kuitan [喰いタン]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
I ate three platters of sushi while watching this show.
Kurosagi [クロサギ]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
From episode 6 onwards, the characters finally bonded. And, their chemistry was absolutely sizzling. The under current between Kurosaki, Tsurara, the old man, the secretary, and the police had me on the edge of my seat. The last scene in episode 7 literally took my breath away. I'm glad that the drama has a good ending.
Long vacation [ロングバケーション]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
It's the classic. What do you expect?
Love Revolution [ラブレボリューション]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
One of the best romantic dramas I've seen.
Majo no jouken [魔女の条件]
Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched)
Mukodono 2003 [ムコ殿2003]
Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched)
It's hilarious!
Mukodono! [ムコ殿/女婿大人]
Rating: 6/10 (Bought & Watched)
I saw the 2003 remake before I saw this. I was unpleasantly surprised by how unfunny this is. The story is more dramatic than comedic.
My Boss, My Hero [マイボスマイヒロ]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
I love good comedy. And, this one gave me a good laugh.
Nemureru mori [眠れる森]
Rating: 5/10 (Watched)
It's slow and ending sucks.
Nobuta wo Produce [野ブタ。をプロデュース]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)
It's good to have friends. Especially friends like Shuji, Nobuta and Akira :)
Nodame Cantabile [のだめ カンタビ−レ]
Ns' Aoi [Ns’ あおい ]
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
In a restaurant scene, Aoi complains to Kitazawa about being suspended. Being extremely agitated, she taps her cup with a celery to make her statements. Kitazawa takes it away from her and munches on it. Aoi, then, picks up a carrot and starts tapping again. Kitazawa takes it from her and adds it to his plate. Left with nothing to tap, she starts munching on the chocolates. The waiter looks at her and says they are whiskey chocolates. Next thing we know, she is on Kitazawa's back.
Oni no sumika [鬼の棲家]
Rating: 4/10 (Watched)
A spoiled girl suffering unfair treatment from her relatives just couldn't keep me interested. I had to quick forward the video just to keep the story moving.
Remote [リモート]
Rating: 3/10 (Watched)
This drama did not worth my time. Fukada Kyoko's acting was so bad that she actually got on my nerves. I held out hope that the drama might get better. But, it sucked to the very end.
Rikon Bengoshi 2 [離婚弁護士II〜ハンサム ウーマン〜]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Hilarious!
Sapuri [サプリ]
Rating: 5/10 (Watched)
Bad acting and confusing story arch.
Strawberry on the shortcake [ストロベリー・オンザ・ショートケーキ]
Rating: 4/10 (Watched)
The guys are jerks. I despise them.
Tiger & Dragon [タイガー&ドラゴン]
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Maybe it's because of I'm not a Japanese, I fail to see the humor in this show.
Top Caster [トップキャスタ]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Hilarious!
Trick [トリック]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
I watched all three seasons. Season 1 is, by far, the best of the three. They are the odd couple you love to see.
Unfair [アンフェア]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Yasashii Jikan [優しい時間]
Rating: 5/10 (Watched)
This drama is SLOW. And because of it's slowness, we fully appreciate each character in this drama.

Anego [アネゴ]
Once an anego, forever an anego [Rating: 7/10]
There is a point in a woman's life when she thinks her life sucks. In Naoko's case, she has this wonderful plan that she would get hitched and quit her job to become a full-time housewife by the time she hits 30. That hasn't happened and she is already 32. And what is sadder? Everyone is calling her "anego," the neon sign that she is OLD, pass her prime, and thus, she is becoming a "furniture." She is no longer that fresh face ppl chase after. Instead, she is a piece of old furniture ppl rely on. Yet, she's not ready to resign to that crappy life. In her desparation, she hooks up with men who sooth her ego. Unfortunely, they are the wrong kind of men for her. In the end, she gets burned and learns that marriage isn't everything. And, her life doesn't suck THAT much.
Saikou no Rikon [最高の離婚]
Opposites most definitely do not attract [Rating: 9/10]
But they do make a hilarious TV. I have Hamasaki Yuka's "You don't think I too disgusting" face on my phone. She cracks me up everytime.
Unfair [アンフェア]
Smart, fast-paced and totally gripping! [Rating: 10/10]
Natsumi Yukihira is despised by almost everyone. It's not because she is a low-life criminal. On the contrary, she is the most honest, diligent, responsible cop there is. However, her straight and unflexible way of justice rubs ppl in the wrong way. Hence, the drama unfolds with a series of murders that all connect to her in one way or another. She has to peel off layers of lies and dissect the truth in order to crack the conspiracy and put an end to the killings.
